Hello!

I have been an animal lover since before I could walk.  I decided at a young age that I wanted to have lots of animals in my life.  I have had personal horses since I was a teenager, working at several large barns first as a caretaker and then as a professional trainer beginning when I was 17. 

I grew up with a lot of pets and have always had dogs of my own.  I have volunteered in rescues and also fostered dogs for several rescues.  I also had the opportunity to volunteer with sanctuary pets who were not deemed adoptable due to extreme fear and aggression.  This was life-changing because they taught me so much as I was gradually able to get even the most reactive dog to come out of his kennel and eventually learn to go on walks!  I definitely have a soft spot for senior pets and kept my old hound dog comfortable until the age of 16.  As an operations manager for several PetSmart locations over many years, I gained valuable insight into the small animal industry to add to my extensive experience.  I would be honored to take care of your pets during your next getaway.  Meet my current foster dog, Jerry and late thoroughbred gelding, Bubba!
